In Canada, Kindergarten serves as the critical first step in a child’s formal education, offering a two-year program: Junior Kindergarten (JK) and Senior Kindergarten (SK). While not mandatory in all provinces, many children begin Kindergarten at age 4 and continue through age 5 before entering Grade 1.
Junior Kindergarten (JK) focuses on nurturing early social skills, emotional development, and foundational concepts through play-based learning. Children engage in structured and unstructured activities that foster curiosity, communication, and cooperation. Literacy and numeracy are introduced gently through songs, stories, group time, and guided exploration.
Senior Kindergarten (SK) builds upon the JK experience by deepening learning in early reading, writing, and number concepts. Children begin to form letter-sound relationships, recognize patterns, and explore basic mathematical reasoning. Greater emphasis is placed on independence, problem-solving, and preparing for the transition into Grade 1, while still maintaining the play-based, inquiry-driven approach.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
