Mathematical Methods: Focusing on calculus and statistical analysis, this subject delves into functions, derivatives, integrals, and probability. It's ideal for students planning to pursue tertiary studies in science, engineering, or mathematics-intensive courses.
Specialist Mathematics: This advanced subject extends the concepts learned in Mathematical Methods, introducing complex numbers, vectors, and advanced calculus. It's intended for students with a strong interest in mathematics and those considering careers in mathematics, physics, or engineering.
This subject focuses on developing students’ skills in reading, writing, speaking, listening, viewing, and creating texts. It explores contemporary, classic, and media texts across various genres. Students learn to respond critically and creatively, tailoring language for different audiences and purposes.
Literature invites students to engage deeply with classic and contemporary literary works from Australia and around the world. They explore complex ideas, cultural contexts, and stylistic features of novels, poetry, plays, and film.
